We have places available at our small and friendly playgroup based in the heart of Wilford Village. Funded places available for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds, 15 to 30 hours. We have carefully created our curriculum which allows us to focus on each child individually, creating opportunities and experiences which cover all 7 areas of their development based around their interests at home and within the setting, whilst working closely with parents and carers.
We meet every Friday in term time, from 9:30am – 11:30am.
Come along and join us for some fun and activities. Activities include themed toys, a creative table, a baby area, a book corner, a role play area and construction area, as well as time for fresh air outdoors. At the end of every session we all gather together to sing songs and nursery rhymes. Children receive milk or water, toast and fruit while parents share their experiences over tea or coffee and biscuits. These mornings serve as an ideal introduction to the playgroup setting and help the children interact with other children, helping prepare them to progress to the older rooms.
Situated in the Old School Building in the Out Of School Club room.
Parents/carers welcome as well as grandparents and childminders.
Children welcome from 0-5 years.
£3.00 per family.
Tea/Coffee and biscuits provided for the parents/carers.
Snack including milk/water for the children.

Sara is our Toddler Group Leader and runs the Parent and Toddler group. Sara has many years of experience of working with children and families.
We have put together a parent guide which is full of information about each room at Wilford Village Playgroup.
We have also put together a children’s guide with lots of photos for you to share with the children, to help prepare them and settle them into Playgroup.

The Annual General Meeting took place on Monday 14th June 2021. Please see the minutes and accounts for financial year 2020-2021, for your information.
We’re delighted to have been selected to participate in the Co-op Local Community Fund. We’re aiming to raise funds to develop our outdoor area so it can become sheltered and suitable for use in all weathers.
We’re one of three causes that can be supported between now and October 2021. The more members that select us and shop with the Co-op, the more funds we’ll receive.

Wilford Village Playgroup is a registered charity and relies on its volunteer committee to operate successfully.
Our committee is predominantly made up of parents and so places tend to come up when children progress through to primary school. We currently have 5 committee members but have space for an additional 2 volunteers. If you are available to offer support including participating in committee meetings and fundraising activities, we’d love to hear from you.
